Superannuation Reports

Hello,

I have taken over the bookkeeping for our hospitality business.  I can see the transactions where super payments have been made to the ATO clearing house by our last bookkeeper but when I go to see the report on what each employee has accrued and what super has been already paid, it shows nothing has been paid.  It is like she lumped the payments all together and not split it up to reflect the employees separately, which doesn't help me when I want to look at them individually.  How can I rectify this.  Thanks everyone

  • Hello there KristineDAuria,

Since the previous bookkeeper used the ATO clearing house for super payments, it won't show as paid on your end in MYOB. This is because the ATO clearing house processes the payments externally. Only super payments that were processed directly and recorded correctly in MYOB show up on the "Accrual by fund" report. If the super payments were paid in lump sum amounts, the best course of action is to contact the superfund directly or the ATO clearing house to request a detailed copy of the contributions made. They can provide you with the breakdown of payments for each employee.

    Best regards,

    Doreen
