From what I understand, AccountRight's time billing feature would be a good fit for your needs. However, since MYOB Business doesn't support time billing, I suggest creating an order and making a supplier deposit before converting it to an invoice. Please check out these Help articles:
Thank you so much for responding. Unfortunately I've discovered a problem which is going to be nuisance going forward.
I've recently come from QB online ($55pm) to MYOB Business Pro ($58pm).
On QB, when converting a quote to an invoice, a window pops up asking how much I would like to invoice, see below. This is something I use with almost every invoice over $500, as a photographer I always take a deposit.
I'm now learning that if I want a similar experience, I have to take out an Accountright subscription costing $144pm.
It seems odd to me that this feature is not available and aside from being odd it's going to be annoying having to generate two or more invoices for every job.
Thanks for your feedback and for sharing the screenshot—it really helps us understand what you're looking for in MYOB Business. We are continuously working on enhancing MYOB Business Pro to include more features similar to AccountRight. Your suggestions are super helpful for us. You can share this idea on our Ideas Board. This way, our developers can check it out, and other users can vote for it too.
Feel free to get in touch if there's anything else I can assist you with.
Cheers,
Princess
