MYOB Capture App - adding a note

I've just noticed on the Capture App there is a place to leave a note. But once uploading a receipt with a note included I couldn't see the note anywhere when linking the receipt. Does anyone know where it goes?

  • Hi accountFIT,

MYOB Capture app is mainly used for purchases, spend money, and bank transactions. It doesn't currently support adding notes directly to invoices. This gap has been noted and incorporated into an ongoing case that our developers are monitoring. About the progress, the tickets are actively checked, and we’re gathering more requests to prioritise it effectively. Your account and this post have been added to our existing ticket to ensure it receives the necessary attention.

    Cheers,

    Princess

    Hi HannahIsberg,

You can add a note to your captured receipt using the MYOB Capture App, and this note will be saved along with the document. The note will show up in any transactions you use the receipt in, like a spend money transaction or a bill. However, notes don't appear in uploads. For more info, check out this link.

After looking into this further, we've raised this issue with our developers, and your account has been added as one of the users requesting this feature to show notes to easily find the uploaded documents.

    Cheers,

    Princess

    Hi MYOB,

I also would like to add a further comment on the above raised issue.  I can see the "Note" in the Memo field if adding the captured document as a spend money, but cannot see the note if adding as an invoice.  Please advise if this is part of the issue you are looking into .  I see the above question was raised 16 days ago - any further progress.

    Thanks MYOB

Sorry I was meaning Purchases Invoices.  Therefore I again ask the question - I cannot see the Notes coming through to the Purchases Invoice that is created from the documentation captured.

Hope I've explained more fully.  Thanks.

    Hi accountFIT,

The notes you mentioned do not appear in the upload receipt but are saved along with the document. This is because MYOB Capture app doesn't currently support adding notes directly to invoices. This gap has been noted and incorporated into an ongoing case that our developers are monitoring. Rest assured that your account and this post have been added to our existing ticket to ensure it receives the necessary attention.

Our company would also like to be able to view the note saved with the captured document.  Can you please advise when this issue has been addressed by your developers.

    Hi ws

Totally get why you’d want the note to show with the captured doc, it makes keeping uploads organised heaps easier. We’ve passed this on to the dev team. Forum mods like me don’t have visibility of their roadmap, so I can’t give a timeframe right now.

I’ve added your vote to the request so your voice is counted.
