Saving MYOB Team data

Question

After random audit from MBIE I discovered (and sought confirmation from MYOB) that only 12 pay runs of MYOB Team data is kept.. eg actual Timesheets. MBIE requires 5 years..... we were lucky to escape a penalty, but wonder how many other people are aware of this. I generally don't look that far, normally employees are pretty quick to voice an error and after that's fixed I don't look again.

Has anyone else encountered this? What is the best way to save/download this data? So far all I've been able to do is screenshot each employee's time record and send it to an email folder. Seriously clunky.

Hey Greer26,&nbsp;The MBIE audit would’ve been a bit of a scramble. There's no in‑product option to download or save timesheets directly from MYOB Team. They can be viewed and approved in the admin portal, but there’s no export function. A dedicated Timesheets report also isn’t available in MYOB Business NZ, which is why you’re not seeing a simple way to pull those raw timesheet records from the browser product. I’ve added your account to the existing enhancement request for a Timesheets report/export so you’ll get a heads‑up as soon as it lands. For audit trails after you’ve processed pays, a practical workaround is to lean on NZ payroll reports like Payroll activity and Pay run summary for the date ranges you need, then keep those alongside your screenshots for five‑year retention. They’re designed for compliance views and can be exported for your records. I know that’s not as slick as a one‑click export from Team, but it’ll give you a defensible paper trail until the report is shipped.&nbsp;Cheers.Doreen
