Can I pay via MYOB Payby service without having MYOB?

Hi, do I need to have MYOB to pay someone by using the MYOB Payby service? Or can I pay using MYOB Payby if the organisation I am paying uses MYOB, even if I don't have MYOB?

    Hi NitaK,

    You don’t need to have MYOB yourself to pay someone using the MYOB PayBy service. If the organisation you’re paying uses MYOB and has online payments enabled, you can simply pay them through the "Pay Now" button on the invoice they send you.

      Thanks very much Earl, that's good to know. Can I also check - we've got a few payments that just say "MYOB Payby service" as the reference on bank statements (joint account so I'm not familiar with the payments) - so that'd just be paying to an organisation as you described in your answer for me?

        Hi NitaK,

         

        Yes, if the payments are showing as "MYOB PayBy Service" on your bank statement, it usually means you've made a payment to an organisation that uses MYOB's PayBy service to process their customer payments. It's basically just the payment gateway they use, so that's normal.
