And now that we have to report Payroll monthly and Superannuation needs to be paid monthly (something I have always done) it also begs the question as to why Payroll is an "add-on". I also have Foreign Currency support, but accept that is an add-on, as it is much less often required

If I look back to the original MYOB Premier I purchased in 2005 and compare it with the current offering, there is surprisingly little in terms of new features. 

One thing that truly amazes me is that there is no support in the Inventory section for handling Serial Numbered stock. It is something that I truly miss. Without it, handling support and warrnty for high value products is cumbersome. 

I also cannot understand why, when the core of MYOB has changed so little in 21 years, why we have to pay extra for Inventory.

There used to be a function called "Category" which enabled to run balance sheet per department. I currently use AccountRight but I can't find it anymore. Could you please advise me where to find OR if we need to upgrade a product which we need to choose?
