Hi johnlink​ , before using backups, try the Journal Security Audit report under the Accounts report tab. This report can show you all the adds/changes/deletes to transactions in your file (1) made in a given date range and (2) for a range of transaction dates. It can be further filtered by transaction type, change type and user. Hopefully this will help pin down the change.
