You can login to multiple files at once, but make sure you are logged in as the same user. Logging in to different files with different logins/user is not supported in the SSO

Faster to log into my account, download latest version and reinstall....seem to be working now...but iirc I think the desktop program didn't ask to run an update when I very first logged in, whereas the online company file was the newer 2026.2 as I already had that upgraded when at home.

Scratch that...closed all programs and browser ...tried to log in and in the loop..

My online company file is showing 2025.8 while my first log in after downloading and reinstalling AccountRight was on 2026.2.....so how do I handle this?

Hi Albare​ , please check that you are on the latest version as we updated AccountRight to version 2026.2 yesterday.
If you have the latest version, try closing and re-opening AccountRight before signing in. 
If your file is online, you will have the new SSO experience being discussed here as well, make sure to tick 'always allow' so that you are redirected to the browser sign in.

This seems to have cost us the ability to log in to 2 separate company files on the same computer. Using the desktop app we could log in to one account and then click the app shortcut again and simply log in to the 2nd account, now when we attempt to open the 2nd file it logs you out of the first one. Is there a way to still log in to 2 files at once? 

We have raised a support request but so far, no response and we are quite desperate for a solution.

Hi JillL1​ , one of the key benefits of single sign-on is that you don't need to sign in again when moving between desktop and browser.
Assuming this is the same user login and file, you should not be prompted to sign in again.
If this is happening for you, please check that you have the latest version and maybe restart AccountRight. If that is still happening, pop in a ticket to our support team so we can get it looked into.

What you can expect is:

1. Users open AccountRight desktop. *The application opens the default web browser for sign-in.
2. User enters their sign-in credentials. *The system pre-fills the email address to save time.
3. After the user signs in, the browser returns them to AccountRight desktop.
4. User then accesses the file in AccountRight desktop.

I cannot login to my Desktop version....what do I do ,...stuck in a loop....

Mike_MYOB​ What are we missing?   This is not saving us time.

We still need to sign in to the browser when swapping between desktop & browser with email & password (should we choose to do that).

There are now more steps to exit as when we close the software we then also have to close two browser windows, on top of it being much slower.

What has happened to the 2FA?   Previously if we used the "x" to exit then could log back in without 2FA but if we selected Services & Log out from Account Right Live then we went to a more secure login process.  Has MYOB fixed the problem where the software closes after a backup but allows access again without any login process?

Really annoyed that we cannot have two data files open at the same time.   That is going to cost us a lot more time and energy than any perceived time saving here.

It would have saved users a lot of time & stress had MYOB given some indication of this change to the login process before we were all left scratching our heads this morning and trying to work out if we had a security problem.   

One more nail in the coffin, for me. Thoroughly hate it.

This is gonna absolutely send the few of my clients still putting up with all the last 2-3 years of changes. Especially the ones who are on the less technically savvy side of things.

I don't see how this is more secure that using the app?  Especially when user names and passwords are already populated and you don't have to enter them manually.  Prefer the old way thanks

Hi Jules23​ , this has been in trial with an EAP group of customers since the 9th of February. 
The feedback has been positive.
When we have EAPs or Betas, you will usually see them listed here
