Morning everyoneWondering how everyone is feeling about the log in now after the upgrade this morning?As a desktop user only, I'm far from impressed. It was so simple to log in to my desktop icon and now it's opening in a browser and I'm switching to desktop. Once closed it brings up the browser again to say you've logged out.Wondering why the change other than to switch everybody over to online??Can not figure out some of the upgrades MYOB makes. They don't take feedback onboard. Seriously thinking about switching to another system.

Not liking this at all - I used to be able to have open 2 data files at the same time so I could keep going from one to the other as needed - now I can only log in to one at a time as it logs you out every time you want to switch users - what's going on MYOB??

brunob This issue started this morning. We manage multiple entities with different ABNs, each using separate names and email domains. When we sign in to one entity with its email, any other entity logged in with a different email is automatically signed out. This significantly reduces our efficiency and productivity when managing multiple entities at the same time. Is there a solution to address this problem? I believe that, as a listed company, MYOB would take into account that its customers may manage multiple businesses.

Not happy, clients calling to ask what is going on, thinking they are being hacked! I have managed to log on, following new procedure. Have to make sure you tick the "always trust this" box to get software to open. And nothing from MYOB warning us that this was going to happen, nothing on their status page, nothing on their announcements page, no pop ups when opening the software. I'm letting my son know (he works on a helpdesk for IT firm) as I know he will be getting bombarded from his clients wondering why their MYOB is doing "something weird". (He calls ME when his clients call him when their MYOB isn't working, LOL!) All working fine now, albeit a little laggy. But seriously frustrating to this point!!

Can I ask if others received this message when trying to log in for the first time after the upgrade. MYOB sign in box this morning opened in Edge and then had my email and an old password prepopulated. I didn't think we could tell MYOB to remember us because I have to log in every single time I want to use MYOB. I clicked cancel as I freaked a little too quicky and suddenly thought it was a hack and didn't know what arl-sso is / means.I have been scrolling through all sorts of MYOB pages and nothing shows arl-sso. Is this safe? Now I am getting the below message each time I try to log in again. So now I can not log in. This is very frustrating as a non IT person to understand.

Yes! My clients are calling me thinking they have been hacked!! You must tick the "Always Allow" option to enable login. It won't ask again. Apparently, this is the new way MYOB is logging us in - via web browser, but then back to desktop application. I consider myself IT savvy - this must be super confusing for those who are not! Lots of chatter on here this morning regarding this issue!

I'm also a desktop only user and feeling your pain. Pretty much every time I use MYOB now there seems to be a new issue (still waiting on MYOB to get back to me re several unresolved issues). I'm also seriously thinking about switching!

Hey Albare

We released 2026.2.1.12 today (30th March) to address an issue that was preventing multiple users accessing AccountRight on the same computer at the same time. We have also addressed the issue causing AccountRight to crash during online backups and restores. The release notes can be found on this page!

This morning I am receiving a message to upgrade MYOB Account Right desktop to version 2026.2.0
My desktop version is already on 2026.2.0
All I could do was delay restart until later.
Is this something we are meant to receive as I'm loath to upgrade anything especially when my software version is showing the same as that being offered by the upgrade pop up?
And MYOB upgrades have gone to stink in the last few offerings....:(

Thank you, lisadgs but running or accessing the update is not the issue. The MYOB Team kiosk automatically runs did the update overnight, then it will lock ALL staff out of the MYOB Team Kiosk, which means they cannot login or clock times until the data file is updated. There is usually not a staff member at the premises that has access to the data file to do the update, this will mean that the staff are locked out until this can happen. Normally as soon as I find this out I log in and complete the update. I had checked earlier in the day and there was not an update showing to be able to up date the data file. I should have stated that the support staff were advising the checking for updates as a preventative measure, which is redundant if the staff are kicked out before, or as soon as the update is available. Checking for an update after the fact will not help.

I agreeing with Hinterland1, as primarily as a desk top user I was not impressed with the update.

Hi all and RogerVanDenBro , Alecia , AmandaSkinner (who mentioned this error yesterday)

The team have identified the issue with login to multiple instances of AccountRight even though SSO was disabled on Friday.
They will be working on this today to rectifying asap

Sorry for the inconvenience, and we will work towards improving this for when we turn SSO back on in future.

Yes - the IT guys that manage that software have resolved it now. The scope changed due to the update in MYOB to SSO - Scope has changed from "CompanyFile" to "CompanyFile offline_access".

So I would prefer not to have to repeat this drama if MYOB reverts to SSO in future, please consider this implication for your customers.

I assumed that you are using a 3rd party application to take orders Edwina when you said that they are not able to sync to MYOB and the errors you have mentioned. Is this right?

brunob I haven't changed anything - just the update on Friday to my knowledge which has now meant that I can't receive any sales
