Sure, let me assist you with that. You can do back pay while maintaining the original termination date by following the steps below:
- Rehire the employee temporarily. Reactivate the employee's profile. This involves removing their termination date.
- Process the back pay. Once the employee is reactivated, you can process the backpay as you would for an active employee. Make sure that all necessary adjustments and calculations are made accurately.
- Re-terminate the Employee: After processing the back pay, you need to re-terminate the employee. To do this, go to the employee profile, navigate to the Employment tab, and re-enter the original termination date. This will ensure that the termination date remains unchanged.
