Submission to Inland Revenue - Payday Filing

Hi,

We process payroll every fortnight. We use payday filing and even though we never receive an error while submitting the details to IRD (NZ), the data is never filed. We have to log in to IRD and again do a manual filing of the data. This is pretty annoying considering that we are charged for Payday Filing and then still have to do manual filings afterwards.

Why is this the case and how do we correct this issue?

    Hi EarthDweller

Thank you for your post. Generally, once you've processed a pay or created a new employee, you need to ensure the information you've submitted is successfully processed by Inland Revenue (IR). For us to do so, we will be needing to check if the Payday Filling was properly set up, as it could be a possible reason why the data has never been filed with IRD as you process payroll.

To proceed on that you may look at this Help Articles: Setting up Payday Filling (NZ) and Payday Filling Statuses (NZ) that has detailed information and instructions to assist with this. After this, you should be able to submit your Payday Filling details to IRD successfully after processing payroll.
