STP failure to lodge
Hi, I had an employee resign last month. I did everything correctly including her final pay & her unused annual leave and finalised her in MYOB and with STP Phase 2. However I now find that the unused leave pay did not lodge with STP, so they have no record of it despite having her termination details.
I thought I would just re-do her pay backdating it to match the original date, making sure it goes to STP this time, then reverse her original pay in MYOB which was not reported. Is that the right thing to do?
However despite changing her termination date & undoing her STP finalisation, her name will simply not appear on a payroll run, so I cant do the new pay!!

Reversing and reprocessing the pay run will likely fix your issue. If the employee's name doesn't appear when creating a pay run, the system still sees the card file as inactive. I recommend opening the employee's card file and making sure the employee is active. Also, you can remove the termination date from the employee and just put it back after reprocessing the pay run.
