Can no longer simply email invoices

I'm really confused on this push to online payments breaking simply emailing my customers their invoices as we have for countless year.

It says "you no longer have access to share your invoices. To continue sharing invoices and accepting payments upgrade now".

Firstly, I only want to share my invoices, I don't want to "accept payments" through any system other than direct bank deposit.

When I follow online instructions to turn off online payments, it tries to take me to the place where I have to register for online payments. So I have to register for a thing I don't want so I can turn it off the thing I don't want? And the registering system wants so much information, that's a no go from me.

I really hope I'm missing something obvious and this is not reality, it's hilariously inept or anti-consumer as you are forcing me into something I don't want or will ever want. I simply want your program to just email my customers a PDF of the invoice (as it always has), that is all.

Right now I'm exporting invoices as PDFs and emailing them myself manually, which is a ridiculously inefficient system.

    Has this issue been resolved?

I’m not sure why this has occurred, given that we are not registered to receive online payments. Other entities I work with are also not registered for online payments, and they are still able to email sales invoices directly to customers without any issues.

Could anyone please advise what may have caused this and whether any further action is required on our end?

I spoke with Myob and was told to complete all the info and then untick online payments

My issue is the quantity of personal info required for a company – Drivers licenses etc

Was told to email to disk and send from there if I didn’t want to supply private info

From what i can work out it is slowly rolling out and all entities will need to do eventually

    Very disappointing I think -

That fixed one issue for me - when printing directly to PDF, the formatting was off and all the text box outlines were visible. Sending it to disk and saving it resolves that problem. Thanks!

  • The inability to email invoices is a real pain and has added hours of printing invoices and scanning them so that we can continue to email them to our clients. This is inefficient and I don't understand why they are trying to force other means of payment on us. We only accept payment via EFT. I have also spent over 3hrs on hold trying to speak to a member of sales or support. Have called multiple numbers without success...

MYOB - please reinstate our ability to email invoices. There is absolutely no reason to restrict this function due to "security" issues when we have had not issues at all for 10+ years now.

I am with you and think this is more than annoying but

Click on send to and then on disk- save in a folder on your pc then email from their to the customer.

No need to print and scan

The waiting time for myob is crazy

Yes I already send to>save to disk, I don't print and then scan it back in. But even saving the pdf and then MANUALLY emailing the pdf is a new job that has not existed in my many years of using MYOB.

I think you need to reply your solution to the person who commented that they print them and scan them. That's not my issue - my issue is that I can't email directly in the program and the only solution to that is MYOB reinstating the feature they removed.

edit: sorry I see you did reply to Andyk properly, just this commenting interface has a terrible layout. I just don't want this whole thread marked as "solved" due to Andyk's printing/scanning problem.
