We are grateful that you found this forum valuable to your query. We apologize that you are facing issues linking a document from the In Tray to an existing bill. We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.
Regarding your inquiry, a possible reason is that you cannot link a document to a bill within a locked period. You will need to turn off the locked period preference by going to Setup >> Preferences >> Security tab or changing the locked period to an earlier date.

Thank you Leneth however this unfortunately did not work. The invoice in question is dated September 2023 and the periods are locked prior to 30 June 2023.
