It's great to see you're looking to customize your invoice templates to better suit your needs! It's true that fields from statement templates typically can't be directly used on invoice templates. You can customise forms, but this doesn't include the balance. I would encourage you to check on MYOB add-ons and post for invoice template enhancement in our Product Ideas board for our developer's review and consideration.
