The latest update in AccountRight hasn't introduced any changes or new features that would cause the "Date" field to default to the current month after you enter a date. Normally, AccountRight should use the date set on your Windows system when you close and reopen it.
If you notice the date jumping back to today’s date right after entering a past date without saving, or if it changes after closing the "Pay Bills" window (but not AccountRight) and defaults to today’s date for a new transaction, that's a bit off.
