This error can occur if the you're using item invoices and inventory items in the invoice do not have "I inventory this item" ticked, therefore my first recommendation would be to check that. If all the items have correct allocation accounts specified, check the linked accounts for sales under Setup>>Linked Accounts>>Sales, complete any missing accounts, and let me know if the error still exists.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am not invoicing inventoried items.
Yesterday I could not apply the payment via bank feeds nor receive payments. This morning it was fine and I was able to process the payment as per normal. So the problem is gone now thank fully.
