Thanks for laying everything out. The numbering does look a bit weird, but if the setup’s right, it should still generate in order. The sales auto-number can sometimes jump out of sequence, especially if transactions get deleted or entered out of order. Let’s try a few things to get it back on track:
- Turn on the duplicate warning in the desktop app
- Turn off “Retain original invoice number when quotes change to orders or invoices” so conversions don’t push numbers backward or overwrite them
- Reset the sequence by nudging it forward manually, this post has the steps to reset the numbering.
