Online payments - Customise invoice

Hi Myob Team,

Online payments have been set up, and I would like to generate customer invoices in MYOB AccountRight that include online payment options such as credit card and QR code payments. Could you please guide me by step on how to customise the invoice template to include these online payment options? I have already customised the invoice in the MYOB browser version and everything works correctly there, but in MYOB AccountRight, the online payment options are not appearing on the invoice even though I have tried several time. Also, why if I already customised the invoice in Myob browser it does not displaying in Myob AccountRight?

I found this from online payments search:

"No matter how you invoice your customers, they'll be able to pay you online. So if you prefer to download an invoice as a PDF and email it to your customer – and you've set up online payments – they can still view and pay the invoice online. A QR code is automatically added to your invoice when you print it or export it as a PDF. When the customer scans this QR code using their phone, they can view the online invoice and easily pay it online."

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

  • Hey PEdge

The latest update for AccountRight was released last night. With this update, we introduced a configurable print setting under the Preferences tab in AccountRight. This setting is ON by default. You will be able to edit these settings by clicking into Setup > Preferences. Please note, these settings are only visible when online payments is switched on.

    Hi BJ3

Thanks for raising this. I understand the QR code isn’t something every business needs in their workflow.

At the moment, there isn’t a separate setting to turn off just the QR code on invoices or delivery dockets. If the print page range is greyed out, there also isn’t currently a way to leave that page out when printing.

So for now, this can’t be changed from within the file settings. If you’d like to see this improved in a future update, you’re welcome to post it on our Ideas Exchange board so the team can gauge interest in the feature.

    Regards,
    Genreve

I'm quite surprised that it isn't already in there but like Jenniek says is this really a feature request?

Things go into the Ideas Exchange to die from my experience...

    Hey jenniek

The team are working on finding a better solution in line with the feedback we've received over the past few days. BJ3 has made a post in the Ideas Exchange, I will be updating the status of that post to 'Coming Soon' with the details once I have more information.

Once a week (today) we print invoices for our delivery run. We have now doubled our paper use due to this QR page issue.

    Hey PEdge

We've heard your feedback about the additional "How to Pay" page being included when printing invoices from AccountRight desktop, and we understand the impact this has had on your workflows.

The team has prioritised a better solution, we are working on a new print setting in AccountRight desktop that will allow you to exclude or include the "How to Pay" page when printing invoices.

We're targeting this change for the next AccountRight release, which is expected in mid-July.

Thank you for your patience and for taking the time to share your feedback. It has helped us understand and priortise this work, and we're committed to getting the solution to you as soon as possible.

In the meantime, here is a couple of workarounds:

    • If you don't need the payment information page, you can print only the first pages by selecting the appropriate page range in your print settings, or print double-sided to reduce paper usage.
    • If you're printing invoices to use as packing slips, AccountRight has a dedicated Packing Slip feature that's designed specifically for this purpose. You can find more information here:
      https://www.myob.com/au/support/myob-business/sales/packing-slips-and-delivery-dockets

Thanks again for your patience and understanding. We'll continue to keep you updated as we get closer to the release.

  • Hey JCAM

Quick update for you! Currently, the 'How to Pay' section only shows when downloading from the browser or desktop. We are planning on incorporating this into the desktop for printing invoices around mid-July alongside new print settings in AccountRight that will allow users to exclude/include the section! I'll make sure to keep you updated as we progress.

For a while the second page stopped printing which was great. Now the problem is back again. No way to stop the second QR page from printing.
