Outstanding balance on supplier card

Three international supplier cards show small balances, but nothing on any payable reports - presumably through exchange rate differences.

How can these card balances be brought to Nil without affecting any payable reports?

    Hi Sai,

None of the checks gave any information so I have contacted the Support Team for help, as per your suggestion. Thanks for your help.

    Hi DorisB,

If the supplier cards are showing small balances but nothing is appearing on the payable reports, I’d suggest checking the following before making any adjustments:

    1. Run an Aged Payables Detail or Aged Payables Summary report, dated 31/12/9999, for each supplier. If the same balance appears on the report, the supplier isn’t actually out of balance. In that case, review the transactions for possible duplicates or incorrect entries.
    2. On the supplier card, select the arrow next to the balance to view any open transactions. If the open transactions add up to the card balance, the card is balancing correctly.
    3. Also check for any credit notes that may have been entered incorrectly and closed against the card, instead of reversing the original invoices.

If the cards still show a balance after these checks, please contact our Support team so they can investigate further. They’ll be able to review the file and apply the appropriate correction without affecting the payable reports.

    Regards,

    Sai
