Partial Payments on Sales Orders/Invoices

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community Forum! To handle a partial payment on an invoice, follow these gentle steps:

1. Go to Sales and choose Create Invoice Payments.
2. Select the Customer.
3. Fill in the bank account, date, and description fields.
4. In the Amount Received column for the relevant invoice, enter the partial payment amount.
5. Click Save.

This process will apply the payment amount to the invoice. If the payment doesn't cover the full invoice amount, it will only apply the paid amount, leaving the remaining balance outstanding.
