To Do List - Accounts Receivable

I cannot get the Accounts Receivable To Do list to print out a total of every Sales Invoice owing.  It will only print what is overdue at that given day.

When I select the To Do List from the Reports menu, the "Overdue Balances Only" box is not ticked.

The Accounts Payable To Do List prints every Purchase Invoice that is not paid (overdue and not overdue)

What am I missing???

Thanks, but have you tried to run the report physically?  It does not work.

The Aged Receivables Summary report does not have the option for the due date, and the detail report does but it has it grouped by Customer, not what Invoice is next due in, which the client wants for cashflow purposes.

I am dealing with a client that I need to "keep it simple" so the To Do List is the best report if it worked, it's just the press of one button, not dates or filtering required.

The Accounts Payable To Do List Report lists every unpaid invoice entered and their due date.

The Accounts Receivable To Do List Report only lists the unpaid invoices that are currently overdue .  On screen it shows all unpaid, when I go to print the report - it does not print what is showing on the screen, which it should.  When the report comes up it only shows overdue invoices and the Overdue Balances Only box is not ticked.  I have ticked then unticked to see if it is a glitch and the report is the same either way.  Only the overdue invoices are shown with an asterix.  What is the point of the asterix if they are the only ones that show.

I have also done this will multiple different client files with the same result so not just this data file.

  • Hi Marlyse - thanks for the question.

You’re not missing anything obvious. In AccountRight, the Accounts Receivable tab of the To Do List is intended to show all unpaid sales—not just overdue invoices. In the Overdue column, a negative number means the invoice isn’t due yet.

With Overdue Balances Only option unticked, both current and overdue invoices should appear in the list. If they appear on screen but the printout contains only overdue invoices, that suggests a printing or filter issue rather than the intended report behaviour. Try closing and reopening the To Do List, check that no customer filter or selection is active, and use the print preview again.

If you need a printed report showing the total amount outstanding, including current and overdue balances, use Reports > Index to Reports > Sales > Aged Receivables Summary. The To Do List is mainly an invoice worklist, sorted by due date, while the Aged Receivables Summary is designed to show balances by ageing period.

If the current invoices still don’t appear in the print preview, check that they’re recorded as open invoices and haven’t been paid, closed, or entered as quotes or orders.

    I hope this helps!
