Update on Accountright 2022.8.0 emails not sending from outlook

Account Right requested an update to 2022.8.0. Since this happened no-one in our office can email invoices from sales or email in general from MYOB to outlook. Please sort out as I cannot email invoices to customer now from outlook. Before the update I could do this and did not have a problem.

 

Have rebooted my computer and still the problem continues.

    I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this. We haven't received reports of email issues with the 2022.8 release and I have just tested this in my software and was able to successfully send emails using Outlook.

     

    So that I can assist with your issue can you please tell me what happens when you try to send emails? If you're getting an error please provide a screenshot.

     

    The Help Article, Email troubleshooting, has general information that may help resolve this.

        Thanks for those screenshots. The error log is showing an interop error. Generally the error means, when a program such as AccountRight asks which version of Outlook is installed, the wrong version is being reported back, causing a communication problem and errors between the programs.

        This can happen when different versions of Office/Outlook may have been previously installed on the computer, and components/values are left behind.

         

        Most interop errors are fixed by one of the following:

        A. Quick Repair office. (any missing files should be added back)
        B. Re-Register Outlook DLL files and Check/Fix Registry Keys (there are 3 to complete)

         

        As this is an environmental issue we do recommend seeking assistance from an IT professional.

    Hi, exact same issue here.  Have wasted many hours trying to resolve.  Issues since 2022.8, but I wonder if may also be related to the most recent Windows (forced) update.  Driving me crazy, so frustrating not being able to email invoices.  (Desktop version of 2022.8).  MYOB please advise resolution or workaround.  From my phone calls  to MYOB last week this is a common issue.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling MYOB as advised but made no difference.  I tried uninstalling latest Windows update but restarting computer Windows simply reinstalled it... :-(

      MYOB developers - perhaps a quick solution may be releasing a new version/patch where desktop users are premitted to send emails via MYOB directly, as that works for my online version.  (Both online and desktop versions worked fine sending invoices via Outlook until last week with 2022.8 and Windows updates).
