Activity Slips coming through as unprocessed timesheets

    Hi JOberg 

     

    Thank you for providing that import file.

     

    Generally speaking, if you are importing activity slips and don't have the preference set to include time billing you would encounter a warning message and that payroll information would not be imported. However, due to the configuration of the import file, it appears to be bypassing a check made on the data and thus is adding that timesheet information. As a result, by adding that timesheet data but it not being processed it would be appearing in the report.


    To correct the situation going forward, the recommendation would be to remove the Base Hourly (Payroll Category column/data) in the import file. This will cause the system not to import that information. Do, of course, continue to entering timesheet where appropriate.

     

    For past situations, the only way I think you could correct it would be to delete those activity slips and then reprocess.

Hi JOberg 

 

Think we do need to understand some more of the process that you do use to enter those activity slips. I assume you are entering those through Time Billing>>Enter Activity Slips or are they being imported/extracted from a third-party application? If you are entering them, does the Include Hours on Timesheet field appear on the Enter Activity slip Window?

 

Also, getting a screenshot of the Activity Slips created i.e. AS001644 and AS001649 would be ideal.

We import a csv file - attached is the csv file for those two activity slips you have asked for. As well as a PDF of thescreenshot of the activity slips.

 

I really appreciate you investigating this for me.
