I'm not too sure what you are trying to assign exactly, in AccountRight Categories are assigned to an entire transaction not individual transaction lines, and there isn't the option to create budgets for categories. Jobs on the other hand are assigned to individual lines within a transaction and can have budgets created. There are job and category specific reports available.
