Jobmaker for eligible employee who was 35 yrs old but is now 36

Dear community

I have an employee who has turned 36 recently (DOB 21/06/85) but was 35 when they were hired on 27/10/20.  They don't show up in the Payroll Reporting Centre under the jobmaker tab - probably because they're now 36 yrs old.  How can I resolve this and claim their jobmaker subsidy?

I missed the deadline for  7 Oct-6 Jan Jobmaker payment and want to make sure I don't miss the next deadline.  Any help or advice greatly appreciated.  Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Duncan

  • Hi DuncanPaterson

Thanks for your post. Employee's won't appear in the Payroll reporting centre if they haven't been paid in the current payroll year. So the first thing I'd check is that they have been paid this year.

If they haven't been paid, you could wait until their next payrun or process a $0 pay to update them immediately. If they have, please let me know so that I can investigate further.

Please let me know how you go.

      Hi Tracey

Ah - that was exactly the problem - I simply hadn't processed last week's pay so they didn't appear under the Jobmaker tab.  All fixed now, employee has re-appeared int he nomination list and I have declared their hours on the ATO Business Portal.  I understand it can take up to 72 hours to process so will check back in a day or two.

Thank you so much for your advice and knowledge.

      Kind regards

      Duncan
