Long Service Leave Calculations

Hi

 

I am trying to calculate LSL entitlements in MYOB Business.  I have followed the MYOB Business Desktop example.  I have set up the example as 7.6HRS x 5 Days = 38HRS (see attached).  

 

I have entered the information in the Pay Item (see attached) however the entitlement is not accruing correctly.  My understanding is that based on this example and the way I have entered the information, each pay run should accrue LSL at a rate of 1.266 (we pay fortnightly).  

 

This is not happening.  LSL is accruing at different rates per pay run.  I don't want LSL to accrue based on HRS the employee has worked.  The employee doesn't always work just 38HRS but I want the entitlement set to 38HRS per week in accordance with Fair Work Aus.

    Hi Earl

     

    Thanks  - however in the Desktop it allowed you set your own accrual amount based on 38 HRS.  In the browser version it doesn't seem to work.

    Appreciate for providing the screenshots, super helpful! That's a tricky one!  Long service leave (LSL) is mostly driven by state or territory legislation, so the percentage or hours to accrue in MYOB will depend on the rules that apply to your employee.
