New Supern 1st July
Hi All,
I have 3 people on our payroll and I use MYOB for reporting to ATO but I pay wages manually through our bank account.
I want to do the same with the weekly supern coming in on July 1st, I want to use MYOB to report and pay the supern manually weekly to the clearing house.
I'm trying to work out what I have to do to be compliant through MYOB but all I can see is that I have to register with MYOB for payments to be made through the MYOB platform.
Any advice or direction appreciated, thank you.
Tracey
Hi Tracey222 ,
Great question, and nice work staying on top of the upcoming super changes, especially with a small team. You don't have to use MYOB to physically pay the super to stay compliant. You can absolutely keep doing what you're doing. Using MYOB for reporting, and paying super separately via your preferred clearing house. A couple of key things to keep in mind:
- You can record super in MYOB payroll so it's tracked and reported correctly.
- When payday super kicks in, compliance is more about timeliness and correct reporting, not how you make the payment.
- Using MYOB's super payment feature is optional. It just bundles the payment plus reporting together for convenience.
