Pay rate changing

Hi

I processed payroll and discovered that the rate for one of our staff changed. This person has a specific rate for annual leave which is different to base salary (long story) but the Sick Pay and Base should be the same rate. In the screenshot the Sick Pay rate is correct but the Base Hourly rate is wrong. Speaking to the person who normally does payroll he has had it happen to him as well however it has only been since we ticked the "Automatically Adjust Base Hourly" option in the Sick Pay and Annual Leave category. Is there a known issue with the automatic adjustment function?

Thanks

Michael

    Hi MickyH75,

Thanks for raising this. We have seen cases where the automatic adjustment setting can affect the Base Hourly line unexpectedly, especially when a leave category has a different rate applied. Before treating this as a system issue, could you please check a couple of things for the affected employee:

    • In the employee card file > Standard Pay, make sure the Base Hourly amount is set to 0
    • Confirm the employee isn’t assigned to more than one MYOB Team location that’s feeding into the same pay run

If both of those look correct and the Base Hourly rate is still changing incorrectly, the best next step would be to reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account so they can investigate it further with you.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi Sai

Base hourly is 38 in standard pay. If having base hours in which then calculates an amount that then causes the hourly rate to change in order to keep the amount the same then that is a very concerning flaw in the design of the system.
