Pay Superannuation multiple reversals

Hello

I have had two staff members superannuation payments over multiple months come back into our account multiple times.  I have reversed the original then repaid then bounced back again and then reversed and repaid but somehow I have managed to reverse the original payment multiple times.  I have then tried to fix by using pay liabilities and now my superannuation and bank are crazy out of balance.  I don't know how the pay liabilities works but when I thought they were entered incorrectly I then deleted the pay liabilities payment but now I have lost all the superannuation payments.  HELP!!!

Thanks

  • Hi Pearlie,

The need to process a superannuation payment again will depend on the value of the superannuation based on the payroll register and payroll summary reports. If the value is more than expected, you need to create a negative pay run to decrease it; if it's less, you need to create a positive pay run to increase it. Since you have reversed the superannuation multiple times, this requires further checking from our support team. I'd recommend reaching out to them via MyAccount or Live Chat through MOCA.

    Hi Pearlie,

If you've reversed the original superannuation payment multiple times, you'll need to ensure you have an equal number of positive transactions to balance out the reversals. This means you might need to enter positive payroll transactions to offset the negative amounts.

When you reverse a superannuation payment, you'll need to reprocess the successfully paid superannuation via Pay Liabilities, while the unsuccessful superannuation payments will need to be processed via the Pay Super window. Since you've reversed multiple times, you'll need to identify the superannuation amount owed to your employees by double-checking your payroll reports. Cheers,

    Hi Princess

    Thanks for the help.

I am not sure on how you mean to enter positive payroll transactions, can you please explain.  Does this mean that I process a Pay Superannuation again - this will not pay the super again will it?

    Thanks
