Paying Superannuation for a Contractor

We are bringing on a contractor who does not meet all of the ATO requirements for definition as a contractor - but as he runs his own business he wants to remain a contractor and not an employee.  This means we will need to pay SGC for him to a super fund - but we also need to report him on the TPAR report.  We use MYOB AccountRight.  Hoping someone can help with how to do this within MYOB so that the system does the work for us and we eliminate double handling or unnecessary data entry or duplication of tasks.

    Hi Janene_L,

That's a bit of a tricky setup but you're definitely not the first to run into it. We actually have a similar post that can help you on how to handle this kind of contractor setup in AccountRight, including paying super and making sure they're reported correctly on the TPAR. Check out this post here: Paying Super for Contractors | MYOB Community.

    Regards,

    Sai
