Payroll company separate to Operating company

We are in the process of moving our payroll/employees out of the Operating company to a separate employment company/MYOB file.  So we need to record the payroll information in the employment company but also need to record the costs related to the job in the Operating company.  Any advice on the best way to do this would be appreciated.

    Hi Extreme1,

Thanks for reaching out. Transferring staff to a new business company takes a few steps to make sure everything goes smoothly. Each employee is unique to their company's files, o there isn’t a direct way to move them between payroll files automatically. It'll be a manual process. You can check this link for more info. As for how to record the costs, it’s best to chat with your bookkeeper or accountant for advice that suits your specific business.

    Cheers,
