    Hi MV-8

The Payroll Activity summary report is filtered by the classification of the payroll category in the Payroll Categories window, so if the payroll category is in the Wages tab it will be included in the Wages column. As such, you do have to manually deduct any applicable deduction amounts.

As a former bookkeeper I'd recommend that you lodge your BAS and IAS through online BAS in AccountRight. It will save you so much time.

If you're not able to or don't want to lodge online, I'd recommend setting up the manual BAS lodgement in the Prepare BAS/IAS window. Once that's set up correctly, you'll just need to reconcile the amounts and then copy the fields into the ATO portal.

    Prepare your activity statement online

    Prepare your activity statement manually
