Self managed super fund issue

Hello,

We have an employee with a SMSF. When I enter the ABN, the details are correct. However, when entering the account number for the fund, I can only enter a maximum of 9 numbers. The SMSF account number the employee has provided (and verified) has 10 numbers.

How can we get around this? We tried creating it again with no luck of entering all 10 of the account numbers.

Thanks,

Angela

    Hey there abailey,

If the first number of the bank account isn't zero, it would be best to check with your bank. Sometimes, there might be another number you can omit to fit the nine-character limit in AccountRight. This step ensures that the account number you enter will still be directed to the correct account. I'd also suggest posting on the AccountRight Ideas Exchange board for the increase of bank account numbers to 10 characters.

    Best regards,

    Doreen
