Setting up Long Service Leave

Hi   I have an employee that has been with us for over 10 years now.  I never set up Long Service Leave for him (or any of my employees for that matter).  How do I work it out please.  We are on 38...

Hey Helen_Keegan​,

 

Great question getting long service leave sorted for your team member who’s hit the 10-year mark. To set it up, you can check this link about long service leave. For a salaried employee, make sure the Calculation basis is set to Equals [x] Hours per Year so it accrues correctly. If you need help working out the exact hours or any state-based rules, it’s best to check in with your accountant.
