Super SMS authorisation code - Payday super

So I have a question for the brains trust.

We have decided to start the pay day super from this quarter so we get in to the habit of paying super on a fortnightly basis in line with our pays.

I have one question that I'm not sure I'm going to get a suitable answer on but thought I would ask anyway.

When getting authorisation for the super, it is an SMS to a single mobile number. Now when it was quarterly it was easy to get this, but unfortunately we travel quite a bit overseas and we don't always use our "Australian" mobile number and sometimes only have wifi access on our phones, so my question is now with this being fortnightly, what are my options for "authorisation" while travelling. (our travel has always been based around our quarterly financial obligations so this is a big problem for us).

If there was an email option, this would be much better but I'm just not sure what will be the best option moving forward in this instance.  As the owner, I'm the only one who does the pays so this is going to be very awkward.

Does anyone have any ideas (MYOB???)

Thanks

    Hi LindyMH,

Great question, and good on you for getting into the habit of paying super in line with your pays.

For Payday Super, the SMS authorisation code does need to go to a single mobile number, so if you’re often overseas it can definitely get tricky. One option while you’re travelling is to set up a different authoriser who is based in Australia and can receive the SMS and approve the payments on your behalf. Changing your Pay Super payment details

    Regards,
    Earl

Unfortunately we do not have a trusted staff member we can give authorised bank account access to, so this is not an option.  I will have to try and work out what to do.  Having a different way of generating codes would be so much easy, such as an authenticator app rather than a mobile number.  I don't know how large companies get around this.  It's easier when quarterly but weekly or fortnightly is a pain in the neck.
