Transaction Journal

In the Payroll transaction journal why would there be a blue arrow in a specific date month when all other entries are greyed out?

Another question is that in an employee card file there are 2 entries for the same date - 1 is the pay and the other is a spend money entry. I have taken over a new business from a previous lady that was doing the pays and not sure why this is here. I electronically pay employees but previously they manually paid ?

If anyone can assist with the 2 questions would be great.

Thankyou Margaret

    Hey margkout,

The blue arrow means that entry can be deleted, while the grey ones can’t be removed directly. Usually, a grey entry is linked to another transaction, so you’d need to delete the connected one first before it turns blue. For the two entries on the same date in the employee card, it’s worth reviewing what’s linked to them. It could be that previous pay runs were manually paid, especially if there’s a spend money transaction showing. If you’d like some help reviewing those linked transactions, our team is ready to guide you. You can reach out to them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account.

    Cheers,

    Doreen
