Unused Payroll category-
I was using a Superannuation Payroll deduction category for a Superannuation Salary sacrifice deduction- this has worked ok , as I was paying this to the Super Fund myself . Since signing up to MYOB to pay my monthly super payments, this payroll category was not recognized.
I spoke with an MYOB support person and they advised me to us the Superannuation category and enter the Salary Sacrifice amount as a deduction. This is being recognized when I paid the super thru MYOB.
The issue I have, is that even though I have removed the old payroll category from the employees pay run - it is still showing on the pay slip when I email out with the old YTD figure up to the change, I did a journal entry with MYOB help to transfer the previous YTD figure into the new payroll Super , the YTD figure on the current pay slip is correct.
I have spoken to MYOB Support person and they advised “ some issues cant be solved" and that the old pay category may stay on the pay slip till end of June 2026!!
Hoping someone may have an answer for me .
