Forum Discussion
Hi AccountsFire,
Thanks for posting your concern in the forum.
I'm sorry to hear about your issue with reversing normal hours. If you need to adjust the accrued pay super, you can create a void pay but you will need to manually enter the amount on the superannuation guarantee pay category. As this does not automatically calculate. I recommend reading through this article, Fixing a Pay. This will provide you with further insight into the process.
Let us know if you require any clarifications or further assistance.
Thanks,

Thanks Genreve, I know how to correct the problem, just wanted to highlight the fact that it is not working how it should and alert MYOB to fix the problem.
How many people don't realise it is happening, you expect it to work!!
I expect it to be fixed in the next Update, this should not happen in the first place, it should work.

Thanks for the response.
We appreciate the insight. The Superannuation is not calculated on negative hours instead it is calculated based on gross pay. This is set up like this by design. If you feel this should work a certain way instead of how it is now, I recommend posting this as a suggestion on the Ideas Board, so the development team could see this.
Regardless, feel free to create a new thread if you require any other assistance.
Thanks,

I am a little confused by your statement, how can you say super is based on Gross Pay when some items ie overtime do not attract Superannuation, and when I put -negative hours I would expect the super to calculate as a negative also, this is not unreasonable to expect and if MYOB doesn't work that way, then it is not working correctly and why are we paying so much for it, if you cannot even follow the ATO rulings?

Hi AccountsFire,
Thanks for the response.
I'm sorry if you feel this way regarding the application. The default for Superannuation Guarantee is to accrue. Entering a negative value on the pay will not automatically populate negative figures on superannuation accrued. The only option to adjust accrued Superannuation Contribution is through void pay with only the amount to be adjusted on Super or on the next pay run.
You can post this on the Ideas Exchange Board for our developers to look at the possibility of including this on the software.
We appreciate your patience. Feel free to let us know if you require any other assistance.
Thanks,
Genreve
