Working Holiday Maker - Country of Origin reported differently in ATO Income Statement?

This is a public forum so best not to attach too much information _ suggest you remove or edit the attachments. The STP rules require the country of origin. If you try to select Aust, you will get an error. The Income Statement is 'wrong' referring to the country of income.

Thanks for the advice. I've removed the attachments. 

 

So can I confirm that the STP rule require country of origin, as in which country the employee is originally from? I tried selecting Australia against the employee's card just to test it, and it still accepted it?

    • For the WHM income type, the home country you report is their country of nationality based on their working holiday maker visa.

    Accepted by the ATO or by MYOB? I doubt the ATO would accept, but might be wrong. MYOB is well known for being lax with edit checks on data integrity, leaving users to often interpret cryptic ATO error messages after the report is rejected.
