So - MYOB have decided, that even though I originally purchased a MYOB license way back in 2001 and was given a new 12 digit serial number via the partner program, that my files will no longer confirm. It was a MYOB partner manager that even advised many years ago, that I no longer needed to pay a monthly or yearly fee as I was a long time partner and MYOB valued my contribution. I have been recommending MYOB to everybody for over 20 years. I have given up fighting, and decided to test the 'Online Ledgers' option as offered by my partner manager, so that I can advise my clients that they can use it for about $20 per month. I have an email from my manager dated 10th June that advises....
"I wanted to update you on our latest offer for online ledgers- perfect for your desktop AccountRight clients.
The files can be client pays and include a 75% discount until 31st December 2025.
The price would be $5 per month and is a great option for clients to test the benefits of online.
I have attached a direct debit form to be signed by the client.
If you require new files, please reply with “ I agree” to the $5 offer terms below: "
The terms I accepted advised $5 per month until the end of December 2025, then reverts to $20 per month. The documentation also advises that I can cancel as at 1st January 2026, and if I wish to cancel earlier, then I just have to pay the balance of the 6 months at $5 per month. That would be a worst case scenario of a $30 cancellation fee.

I set up an online ledgers file and did a little bit a playing to see what was included and what wasn't. I know wish to cancel that file. I sent a support message via my partner portal - which didn't even get answered! I did, however, receive a 'how did we do' email. I then emailed my partner manager who advises as below..
It sounds like the file you set up included a 12-month promotion/term.
Unfortunately, I am unable to assist with the cancellation. You could try to speak with support team again and escalate to the cancellation team.
No wonder people are ditching MYOB in droves.
