I have been happily using MYOB Accounting Plus V10 forever, but my computer died and I have had to upgrade to Windows 11, which means I can no longer download the app onto my computer. My question is, can I upload my data to a new MYOB software like Account Right?

You won't need the Serial Number if he already has a confirmed file as the Serial Number is in the file itself. You mentioned an .MYO file so it will be any Classic version between 14 & 19 (there are several versions of 19). Has he been able to install the relevant version? If not, let me know which version at my email majubawest@hotmail.com and if it is prior to v16, I can send you the installer. Classic v16 to 19 are on the MYOB Software Downloads here https://www.myob.com/au/support/downloads?page=1#top Once he has installed, he can open the .MYO file without needing the Serial Number.

I am using Classic V19.15, it says I need to verify my file. I rang MYOB and they said they can't verify files for V19 anymore. Do you know how I can get around this?

The phone "help" are often misinforming customers so try asking on this Forum with a new post if you can't access the self serve option here:

However, if MYOB persist in not providing a confirmation code, then contact FGH Tables and they should be able to assist you.

My father-in-law is also in this exact predicament, except he cannot find his serial number (asked for at setup) and both the email address he originally signed up with has been decommissioned and his mobile number has changed so he says he can't recover the necessary details.
He is very set in his ways, and wants to be able to import the MYO files that we managed to move over from his old PC, but we are struggling big time.
I think the main way he uses MYOB is to manage his shares, but I've never used it before so am flying blind. Any advice will be appreciated.

I may be able to help you with this without you having to upgrade your version that appears to be a on a perpetual licence (meaning free forever). I look like needing a new computer, I have a perpetual version of MYOB (now account right) It opens in 2020.3. When I get a new computer is it difficult to install that version again, and do you have a copy?
I would be so grateful, I am 79 year old girl and love the programme for keeping track of all expenses and bank accounts.

I am not sure about difficulty as I am still on Windows 10 but you can try from the MYOB download page here:
You will need to scroll through the Product/AccountRight PC Edition versions to Page 6 to find your version. Hopefully it is straightforward but if not, there are others on the Forum who can assist as I believe it should work. Good luck.
