Can we please have offline backups back? I don't like the idea of having everything in the cloud and having no control whatsoever over MY datafile.
If the option of offline backups is not restored, I will investigate switching to Xero. Why would MYOB take this away?
One of the reasons that people stayed with MYOB was due to control over backups. When I advise clients on MYOB and Xero, this was one of the "Pros" for staying with MYOB and not moving to Xero. Now that option is gone, people are more likely to start choosing Xero as there is no difference with the backups.
And with all the frustrations that MYOB has dealt us in the last year, a lot of people will now move.
I use Xero as well and do not have the downtime, the errors, upgrades/changes that MYOB has. Xero support is very fast, even though it is through the support page, you get answered that day atleast.
Xero and MYOB have definite differences. Xero is not perfect either, but the frustrations are not there, which is a huge positive for clients.
