Payday Super - being able to choose date of payment

I always have my payroll set up a minimum one day in advance. No way am I leaving it for the pay day itself. And like many others here we close down for Christmas New Year break and I schedule payroll over that period. It makes no sense for me to be on leave and have to log back in to MYOB to authorise super on the day that pays are made. I should be able to schedule it, just like the payroll.

Yah need this because when a payday super is authorised after 4pm it sometimes processes same day and deducts from account and sometimes does it the next day.  If you could just forward date one day there would be no issues with the bank rec.

I would like to add another vote for this... being that MYOB is geared for Small Business would really appreciate improvements to the issues that affect our clients by prioritising these issues.

I do a monthly payroll on the 15th every month for one client. Today,for example, I have posted and scheduled payroll payments for their pay to be made on the 15th. With MYOBSuper - I only have the option of paying the super early, or trying to remember to log in on Wed push the payment through. Either option is not fantastic as cashflow is affected earlier than necessary - or I run the risk of not possibly sending the batch as I now have to go back into a client file on a day that I wouldn't ordinarily have to revisit. Please!!!! Add this function for us :-)

Definately support this - it is essential for small business, when staff are on leave many will have to either pay super in advance even before Payday, or risk being late with their super pymt. MYOB please listen to your community.

MYOB this is just ridiculous.  Small business here, only 1 person to process payroll so not an option always to sign in when on leave.
This is going to cause cashflow issues as well as reconciliation issues.
Pay Super gives an option to give a payment date, however if you put a future date in it totally ignores it and processes it on the day you authorise.
Why bother giving an option to put in a date if MYOB totally ignores it!

Yes, I agreed. I performed one batch of super payment, chosen date on 16th of June. Money had been taken out of my bank account since the date I pressed submitted. I believed payment date supposed to mean the date MYOB would withdrawal the fund out of my bank account. Causing me an overdrawn and had to paid a penalty to the bank

This really needs to be implemented asap! Another "only office person" here who would like to be able to schedule the super payments. We also close over the Christmas/New Year period and I have always pre-set the pays. I would like to be able to enjoy taking annual leave etc whilst keeping my employers compliant.

Same issue - I schedule payroll payments all the time for future dates currently for two small business entities. 

Typically, small businesses are likely to have only one payroll person to do payroll and they need to be able to take leave and therefore schedule payroll runs in their absence!

I agree that MYOB needs to provide the opportunity to schedule payday super payments to align with future scheduled payroll run dates (like scheduling normal bank payments).  

Businesses will already be paying super earlier than under previous legislation (ie. previously quarterly), therefore having to pay super in advance of a scheduled payroll run pay date due to  payroll officer leave is crazy! (cashflow...)

I look forward to MYOB providing a workable solution as this is essential to the smooth running of payroll scheduling and the associated super payments.

Here is another vote to be able to future date Payday Super payments.  I work for a small business and am going on long service leave in Sept.  There is no one else to do my role.  This is essential that this is addressed.  I do not plan on logging on while on leave (as I will be o/s) and isn't that the whole point of having leave - is to not have to work!! Please MYOB address this issue.  

Another VOTE and 100% agreement that this is an essential feature that needs to happen ASAP! We are also a small business with Christmas closures. Why should anyone (no matter the roll they have) have to work when on leave, whether it be Christmas or any other leave throughout the year. We should be able to take a holiday with the knowledge that our job requirements have been met and our employees are paid and other regulatory obligations have been fulfilled. I'm astounded that this wasn't thought of to begin with, what a massive oversight!
