Can't set up online BAS lodgement
Hello
I am trying to lodge my BAS online however it is giving me the error message:
"For the next step, we need your ABN.
We’ve detected that you haven’t entered an ABN, or the ABN you entered isn’t valid.
Please enter a valid ABN in the Company Information window or Business Settings page. Once you’ve done that, refresh this page.
(Note that we don’t support TFNs.)"
I read older community post saying you needed to enter a 1 or 2 as the ABN Branch number in the Company Setup section. I have done both and it does not work. My ABN is correct.
