Hi mmj1 , these options are all different types of (invoice) layouts. To find out which type to export, open the New Sale window, then which layout would you use?
Or open an existing invoice and look at the window's title bar.

When i select sales for export (i intend to export first to get the header names and the formatting correct before importing). I have few options to choose from. none of which are invoices. the followings are the options in my account right software:
item sales
miscelanious sales
professional sales
service sales
time billing sales
which one do you recomend to choose?

No problem mmj1 . Note there's quite a learning curve to importing, recommend start small, eg 1 or 2 invoices, and stick to the order of columns.
