Purchasing items for use on farm

Hi

I run a farm and Im in the process of ordering rock and gravel for road repairs, I want to order and rrack receipt of the tiems as they arrive.

 

But I dont want a bunch of rock and gravel in my inventory.

 

Any ideas on how to do this?

    go into the Purchase Register

    Select the order tab select new order ( bottom right hand side)

    enter the order as you would normally do allocting to the usual expense account

    when the goods come in you can convert to an invoice to pay
