Import Data

I tried to Import a Transaction csv file (second file for today, the first file imported with no errors) and the Error is as below:

the original file upload - I have deleted names and replaced with AAA.

Why is Data being lost in the Import e.g. Account Number & Name?

Re: Import Data

Hi @FionaB

Known bug introduced by MYOB around AR2020.3 (or so) - the import log displays the Record ID of the account and the Card instead of the account number and card name. MYOB refuse to fix this despite repeated requests.

This however is not the cause of your import error, simply how the import log is displayed.

Check that the account 5-6000 is in fact an existing and postable account - seems a strange place for wages (COS account) and that it is not a header account. If it is, try creating your import file column order to match the expected column order. For example Amount should come after Account Number. You may think this doesn't matter, however for some imports it does.

Gavin

Re: Import Data

Hi @FionaB

Glad to hear, perhaps post how you solved as this might be useful for others who have the same error and read this post. That is one of the primary roles of a public forum, finding how to solve a problem you are having.

Regards

Gavin
