ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsStandard Pay Has anybody come across an issue recently where hours have been added to somebody's standard pay where they previously had 0? I thought it was just some new starters had been set up incorrectly but some older staff have been changed as well. It's not something that the payroll person would change and she said she had a pop up the other day when she was adding a category for someone. Payroll Advice Report Issue The description for the Payroll Advice report says "For the selected payroll date range...." however it only returns pays processed in the period selected. Our last pay run was for the period 06/02 - 12/02 which was processed and paid on 13/02. If I run the report for the last pay period it shows me the pay advices for the previous week (30/01 - 05/02) as they were generated on 06/02. I've only discovered this after using MYOB for 6 years because we had issues with payroll last week and have processed some adjustments which have been paid this week and when I try to run a report to ensure that the total payroll matches what we expect there are variances. Re: Remove warning Hey Doreen_P so you can turn off something as important as checking for duplicate supplier invoices but can't turn of a warning that not every business requires. Seems a bit backwards to me. Remove warning Is there any way to disable the Receive Payments instead of Receive Money warning? Most of our customers pay a deposit for goods before they ship and therefore there is no invoice to apply the money to. The deposits are also in a foreign currency (USD) so we process them all at the end of the month when we know the average exchange rate that we're going to use for the month. Is there a way to turn off the warning as it's extremely annoying when we can receive over 100 deposits a month. Re: Secure your account with SMS two-factor authentication (2FA) Does this only impact users of the web based platform or does it also impact those of us who still use the desktop version? Does it validate the mobile number that is entered? Asking for a friend :) Is the system smart enough to know that the one mobile number is used on more than one user account? Re: Secure your account with SMS two-factor authentication (2FA) Is there a justification for this blanket enforcement of a fairly unsecure method when people already have to have a 2FA system in place? It's enough that 2FA has been forced upon us but locking people out of a system that they're paying for is a bit of a joke. If they don't agree does that mean they get a refund of their fees for the period that they're locked out? Re: Secure your account with SMS two-factor authentication (2FA) Another jammed down our throats security update that it seems a lot of customers don't want or need. MYOB stands for Mind Your Own Business so how about doing that and letting users determine the level of security they wish to implement. What about an opt out where we can acknowledge that in the event of a security breach on our end we will take responsibility for any of our losses? I'd have to reread the Ts & Cs of the agreement but I assume you already cover yourself for if there is a breach on your end that it still wouldn't be your fault and we can't pursue costs or damages. Re: Setting up additional two-factor authentication methods No. I'm using the desktop version though so may be different if you're using the web app. Bank Feeds Authorisation Code We have 21 companies that all have their own file that I'd like to set up bank feeds for. Do I need to get authorisation codes for each company or can I generate the one code and use it for each application? We use Westpac Corporate Online and have to submit manual forms. SolvedRe: Enhanced security measures are live - 27/11/24 Mike_MYOBI guess what I and many others are struggling to understand is what is trying to be secured by this change? The only risk that I see is that someone changes a supplier or employee bank account and we make a payment to a fraudulent account via a file payment. In the 21 companies that I look after only 8 are set up for file payments and the only people that can change bank account details are the admins (there are 3 of us). We all have to email each other if we're going to make a change before receiving the MYOB automated email. If we receive the MYOB email without warning we will question the others to see who did it. From a payroll perspective, other than the admins, only 1 person has access to payroll information so could see TFNs and that is only in 1 of the 5 entities that have active payroll. An admins manages payroll for the other 4 entities. Other than that I could care less is someone hacks us and sees our info. We make back ups periodically so at most we'd lose a couple of months worth of data if there was a breach and someone managed to lock our files.
