How risky is your AccountRight import process? Free 3-minute assessment + research
Hi all, I’ve been looking into the risks around CSV, spreadsheet and bulk-data imports into AccountRight - particularly where a bad import can create hours of manual repair, duplicate data, incorrect pricing, billing problems or changes that are difficult to reverse. I’ve built a small free AccountRight Import Risk Check to help quantify that exposure. It takes about 3 minutes, gives you the result immediately, and doesn’t require an email address. The assessment looks at six areas: - consequence if an import goes wrong - reversibility - import frequency - size and complexity of the change - existing controls - recovery difficulty I’m also collecting optional, consent-based research after the result to understand which AccountRight import workflows are actually causing problems in practice. I’m especially interested in people who regularly import items/pricing, invoices, journals, customers, inventory or other bulk data. Assessment: https://myob-import-risk-check.importriskcheck.workers.dev/?src=myob-community This is independent research and isn’t affiliated with MYOB. There is nothing for sale in the assessment - at this stage I’m trying to establish where the real problems are before building anything around them. I’d also be interested to hear here: what AccountRight import or bulk-update process makes you most nervous, and why?Error 0: Unexpected import error - Sequence contains no matching element
Hi when I prepare either a CSV or a tab delmited text file and try and do an import, the system gives me the error in the title and for some reason, a 0 is inserted into the import file and immediately fails. Why is this happenng?Import only loading some items
I don't expect much, support for this product is generally horrible. I have exported my full items list and added 100+ new items to the text file. When I went and re-imported it. It has only added some of the items. Others are just completely missing. No errors were shown when importing.SolvedCANNOT IMPORT SALES Error -25: Invalid amount.
Hi, We are attmepting to import data into a new MYOB AR file which is proving to be quite frustrating. While some files import without error, many of them are subject to "Error -25: Invalid amount." I have attempted to modify various variables/fields to no availl. I also attempted to identify how these failed imports differ from those that were successful. One potential problem cell was the 'discount field' which was filled with negative values. When removed the error message changes to Error -28: Item is not sold. Please see attatched exported file, and the import log. Any solution would be gretaly appreicated.622Views0likes2CommentsImporting Sales Service Invoices with no amounts -URGENT PLEASE
I recently purchased an existing buisness (Mechanical repairs and service) where the original owner had to supply a new laptop with the company data. As we had to get a new ABN etc we had to install our own copy of MYOB and try to transfer the previous sales history. The issue we are having is we cannot transfer the invoices (3 years worth) without the sale amounts transferring over with it causing havoc in my financials. We only need the invoice information as it contains important customer history. Can someone help please.SolvedImporting Item Sales with Non Inventoried Items
Hi, I'm trying to import our sales into MyOb AccountRight in Bulk using a txt file. A very common item that needs to be included isn't an inventoried item and therefore doesn't have a location. Sales are usually a mix of this non inventoried item and inventoried items with set locations. When I try to import I'm getting an error log of "Error -226: Location ID may not be blank." I had left the location tab of the non inventoried items blank because there was no location to include. However I'm assuming that's causing the error. What do I include in the Location ID tab to ensure that these sales can be imported? Thank you!Solved998Views0likes8Comments-25 Invalid Amount When import Purchasing

Trying to import new products, in the same way as have been for years. The software is missing fields in the import file? Even though the S is in the correct field and I have exported a file to double check the locations, it won't import this data, and then it misses the pricing detail also. I am SO UPSET with this absolutely RUBBISH version of MYOB, no excuses it is the worst piece of software I have ever used.Solved
